CCS Newsletter Reports on Pioneer Network Conference

September 19, 2012

The September issue of the PHI Coaching & Consulting Services (CCS) Newsletter features two first-person accounts of the 2012 Pioneer Network National Conference.

In her account, PHI Organizational Change Consultant Kathy McCollett details the entire conference, from the opening-day “mini conferences” to a conference-closing presentation by Karl Pillemer of The Legacy Project.

McCollett reports that the culture change-theme conference explored a wide range of useful topics, from honoring nursing home residents’ dining choices to creating a safe and inclusive environment for LGBT elders.

Meanwhile, PHI Organizational Change Consultant Cean Eppelheimer wrote about a pre-conference session that looked at “Culture Change Through the Eyes of a Surveyor.”

The session “pushed us into thinking beyond the boundaries of traditional regulatory and provider practice into a person-centered realm — one that moves us closer to realizing the essence of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987,” Eppelheimer wrote.
