Certified nursing assistants: A key to resident quality of life

Explains the link between certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and nursing home residents’ quality of life, as well as the link between CNA job quality and job satisfaction. The author highlights the Minimum Data Set 3.0 and INTERACT tools as ways for CNAs to improve their attentiveness to residents’ care preferences. The article is a companion to the editorial “Nursing Assistants and Quality Nursing Home Care,” which ran in the same issue of JAMDA.
