Senior Learning Experience Manager

As the Senior Learning Experience Manager, Alison will lead WIT’s efforts to build an external facilitation team that will help us meet the growing demand for PHI’s in-person and online training programs and ensure the Workforce Innovations Team (WIT) is strongly positioned to deliver high quality, competency-based training to direct care workers and long-term care supervisors. She will also inform curriculum development and contribute to training and workforce interventions.

Most recently, Alison managed a Home Health Aide workforce development program through the HEART Consortium, a program of the Center for Community Health Education Research and Service (CCHERS) in Boston. She designed and implemented a trauma informed training and support program for community residents in the greater Boston area entering home care. Prior to that she worked for the 1199 SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund in Massachusetts, where her work focused on supporting and developing adult education programs and career mobility programs for incumbent hospital employees. Alison has extensive knowledge and experience in ESOL methodology and teacher training and support and has worked in a variety of settings and sectors developing and implementing community based ESOL and workforce development programs.

Alison has extensive experience in workforce development, Adult Basic Education and ESOL program development, management, curriculum development, leadership and teaching, for diverse industries.

Alison is a graduate of Beloit College, in Wisconsin where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Classics, and the School of International Training in Vermont, where she received her Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on ESOL.
