Sarah Angell (she/her)
As Research Associate, Sarah is responsible for implementing applied research projects, with a particular focus on quantitative projects and analyses. She also helps maintain and expand key PHI research resources, including but not limited to the Workforce Data Center and State Index.
Sarah brings experience conducting rigorous policy-relevant research on workforce and labor policy. Most recently, she worked with RAND Europe on applied research on gender equity, employment, and social policy. She also has experience working on economic justice research, advocacy, and communications with the National Partnership for Women and Families and the Food Research and Action Center. Just after college, Sarah worked as a trainer in a workforce development program in New York City. As an undergraduate, she conducted research with the Harvard Weatherhead Center for International Affairs on access to employment and social services among migrants in France.
Sarah holds a BA in History from Harvard University and an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Sarah is based in Arlington, Virginia.
