The Direct Care Alliance (DCA), in partnership with Bend the Arc and the National Domestic Workers Alliance, is sponsoring a National Day of Action on September 21 to encourage Washington policymakers to end the exclusion of home care workers from basic wage protections.
The DCA is coordinating events in Washington, DC, and elsewhere around the country to encourage legislators to “do the right thing” and support the extension of the Fair Labor Standards Act‘s minimum-wage and overtime protections to home care workers.
More information on these events can be found by contacting DCA National Advocacy Coordinator Jessica Brill Ortiz.
More information and resources on the fight to grant home care workers basic labor protections can be found at the PHI Campaign for Fair Pay.
