Health Affairs Vol. 32, No. 11 – Project HOPE
Presents statistics and demographic information about U.S. health care workers who were born and/or educated in other countries. The authors go on to recommend several ways that U.S. policy can address this segment of the workforce in order to strengthen care delivery as a whole. For example, the authors suggest policy changes that would facilitate the entry of more, better-qualified direct-care workers into the country.
