Quality Care, Quality Jobs Question Sought for Presidential Debate

September 20, 2012

Ai-Jen Poo

Ai-jen Poo, co-director, Caring Across Generations (CAG), is encouraging people to sign a letter urging the presidential and vice presidential debate moderators to ask the candidates how they would ensure quality home care and quality jobs for home care workers.

Noting that the population is aging and home care is an issue that “affects more than half of America’s active voters,” Poo invites people to join her in encouraging the moderators to ask the candidates this question:

In the next 10 years, 75 million Americans will reach retirement age. How will you ensure that seniors receive the support they need to age with dignity in their own homes, and create good jobs at the same time?

Visit the CAG website to sign the letter for the debate moderators.
