Predictors of Intent to Leave the Job among Home Health Workers: Analysis of the National Home Health Aide Survey

This journal article uses data from the 2007 National Home and Hospice Care Survey/National Home Health Aide Survey to show that on-the-job injuries and insufficient hours are both significantly linked with home care workers’ stated intent to leave their jobs within a year. By contrast, employer-sponsored health insurance, the use of consistent assignment, and high job satisfaction levels were all linked to low turnover intent, the survey found.
