Use of the Certified Nursing Assistant Pain Assessment Tool (CPAT) in Nursing Home Residents with Dementia

This article is based on a study that demonstrates that a pain assessment tool can be developed for CNAs to use in working with nursing home residents with dementia. With the tool studied, CNAs were able to break many barriers to pain alleviation.
