PHI Experts to Speak About Abuse and Neglect at Indiana Conference

March 28, 2013

The upcoming Indiana Healthcare Leadership Conference will include a session on abuse and neglect prevention, featuring two PHI staff members.

PHI Midwest Director Hollis Turnham and Organizational Change Consultant Cean Eppelheimer — along with Catherine Macomber, an assistant professor of social work at Saginaw Valley State University — will lead the afternoon session, entitled “Preventing Abuse and Neglect Through Skills Building and Empowerment.”

Attendees will learn “how to create and foster an abuse-free culture in nursing homes,” the conference brochure says.

The day-long conference, an initiative of the Indiana State Department of Health, will take place on April 9 in Indianapolis.

More information about the conference is available online.
