Application Deadline Approaching for Sector Skills Academy

January 9, 2014

The Aspen Institute Workforce Strategies Initiative is accepting applications through January 24 for its Sector Skills Academy, which kicks off this spring in Aspen, Colorado.

The Academy provides emerging leaders with an opportunity for experiential learning with practical applications for present and future work in the sector field, explains its website.

During three workshops, which will take place over the course of 10 months, participants will have the opportunity to “acquire new skills, engage in peer exchange, and benefit from relationships with guest faculty and facilitators.”

Academy participants have been leaders from community-based organizations, community colleges, local and state government, labor-management partnerships, worker centers, WIBs, and business associations.

About 25 applicants will be selected to attend.
