New Toolkit Promotes Nonpharmacologic Behavioral Health Strategies

January 9, 2014

A new toolkit is available to promote nonpharmacologic behavioral health strategies to address behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia — behaviors that frequently occur in long-term care residential settings, especially among residents with dementia.

Promoting Positive Behavioral Health: A Nonpharmacologic Toolkit for Senior Living Communities contains resources designed to help the staff at senior living communities.

The toolkit was prepared for the Commonwealth Fund in collaboration with The John A. Hartford Foundation.
