This case study of NewCourtland in Philadelphia is part of PHI’s series ”The Business of Caregiving.” Some of the reasons why NewCourtland is identified by PHI as an exemplary employer are: its career ladder; its education center, offering skills-building courses to all employees; its continuing education program for certified nursing assistants and licensed professionals; and its employer-assisted home-ownership program, YOUrHOME, which awards employees grants to use on a down payment for a house.
