PHI Ally Receives Massachusetts Home Care Award

September 5, 2012

(L-R) Home health aide Cam King, Mass. State Rep. Kate Hogan

Massachusetts State Rep. Kate Hogan (D) was awarded the Peggy Munro Home Care Advocate Award last month for her continued advocacy for the state’s home care workforce.

The award was presented by the Massachusetts Council for Home Care Aide Services at an honorary breakfast August 14.

Hogan received the award because she “understands the importance of the home care services we provide, which honor an individual’s choice to remain in the community while yielding significant savings for the state,” said Council president Paul Dzialo.

In 2010, Hogan shadowed home health aide Cam King in a “Come Care with Me” event sponsored by PHI.
