COVID-19 Intensifies Nursing Home Workforce Challenges

Recruiting and retaining direct care staff has long been a challenge in nursing homes. The purpose of this project was to study the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nursing homes with respect to these long-standing workforce challenges and to identify new federal, state, and facility-level policies and practices that have been implemented to address these challenges.
