Medication Management Roles in Assisted Living

Residents in assisted living frequently need assistance with medication management. This study explores medication management in assisted living and the role of direct care workers as medication aides, which is a cost-effective staffing approach that is used frequently. The sample included 112 participants representing all parties involved in medication administration in 15 assisted living settings in four states.
