Workers’ Compensation Claims Among Private Skilled Nursing Facilities, Ohio, 2001–2012

Since skilled nursing facilities have one of the highest rates of occupational injury, this study examined worker’s compensation claims in Ohio from 2001 through 2012. The most common injuries were from overexertion and bodily reaction; slips, trips, and falls; and contact with objects and equipment. This data identifies areas for potential intervention to prevent worker injury.
