Lists common myths associated with managing a nursing home. Several are related to direct-care staff. For example, the author — an assistant professor at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia — writes that certified nursing assistants should not focus entirely on care delivery, but should also observe resident behavior and report relevent issues. The author also dispells the myth that a nursing home administer’s managment style has little effect on staff turnover.
