Upcoming DSW Center Webinars to Feature PHI
The National Direct Service Workforce Resource Center‘s summer webinar series will feature PHI in the coming weeks.
The July 31st webinar, “Understanding the Strength and Quality of Your LTSS Workforce,” will feature PHI Midwest Program and Policy Manager Tameshia Bridges talking about Michigan’s direct-care worker surveys and PHI Associate Director of Policy Research Abby Marquand sharing information about the PHI State Data Center.
Subsequent webinars will also include input from PHI:
- “How to Pay for LTSS Workforce Investments,” August 14
- “Workforce Development in Participant-Directed Programs: Supporting Workers and Family Caregivers,” August 28
The series highlights strategies to help strengthen the direct-care workforce as well as resources that are useful to long-term care stakeholders. The webinars provide an opportunity for participants to hear directly from practitioners in the field about workforce development strategies they have successfully implemented.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services created the National Direct Service Workforce Resource Center in 2005 to address the looming “care gap,” as demand for direct care outpaces the supply of workers.
