Upcoming Webinars Feature PHI Coaching Team Members

Members of the PHI Coaching & Consulting Services (CCS) team will be participating in two exciting webinars later this month.

The webinars will focus on the importance of communication skills in long-term care settings, and how strong communication improves care quality.

Eden Alternative Webinar — February 19

On February 19, CCS National Director Susan Misiorski and Organizational Change Consultant Cean Eppelheimer will be among five panelists participating in a webinar entitled “Facilitating Effective Communication & Conflict Resolution.”

The webinar — part of a series developed by the Eden Alternative and presented in association with the Pioneer Network — will focus on developing effective communication and conflict-resolution guidelines that help empower and engage all members of an organization.

Three members of the Exempla Colorado Lutheran Home, an Eden Alternative-registered home, will also be participating in the webinar:

  • Susan Black, Administrator
  • Sue Miller, Director of Clinical Services
  • Michelle McParland, Social Worker

Located near Denver, the Exempla Colorado Lutheran Home provides assisted and independent living as well as skilled nursing care, and has received a Step One Quality Award from the American Health Care Association.

Health Foundation for Western & Central New York Webinar — February 20

Misiorski and PHI New York Policy Director Carol Rodat will lead a webinar for members of the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York on February 20.

During the webinar, entitled “Coaching with Care Partners,” Misiorski and Rodat will explain how strong communication skills are critical to successfully supporting care transitions.

Lessons from the PHI Coaching ApproachSM will also be incorporated into the webinar.
