Web Tool Lets Organizations Point Consumers to Help with Accessing Coverage

February 5, 2014

The Get Covered America Locator is now available in a format that can be embedded on organizations’ websites, as part of an effort to increase consumers’ awareness about their health coverage options.

After a zip code is entered, the Locator provides contact information for experts located within 25 miles who can provide free Health Insurance Marketplace application assistance.

Under the Affordable Care Act, open enrollment for coverage through the Marketplace runs through March 31.

Of all direct-care workers in the nation, 30 percent are uninsured compared to 18 percent of U.S. civilian workers, a PHI analysis found. Of home care workers, 37 percent are uninsured (pdf).

Get Covered America is a nonprofit, nonpartisan campaign of Enroll America.
