WEBINAR: Investing in the Direct-Care Workforce

August 5, 2014

The increasingly important issue of job quality for direct-care workers will be the focus of an August 14 webinar presented by Connecting Communities, an initiative of the Federal Reserve System.

PHI Strategic Advisor Steven Dawson will join Steven Shepelwich of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and Jan Hunter of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions for the hour-long webinar.

Direct-care jobs are among the fastest growing in the country, yet commonly suffer from low wages, poor benefits, and little opportunity for advancement.

The webinar participants will discuss “practices and policies for strategically investing in these positions to increase outcomes for employees, employers, and patients,” the Connecting Communities website says.

Registration is required. More information can be found on the Connecting Communities website.
