Federal and state policy strategies for developing a quality eldercare workforce

This article explains the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that benefit the eldercare workforce, as well as the challenges those provisions could face as they are implemented. The authors highlight three federal agencies — the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Administration on Aging, and the Health Resources and Services Administration — that will be critical to the successful implementation of the ACA. The article was co-written by PHI President Steven Dawson.
