Green House: Flexible, low-cost funding available

Posits that many nursing home providers would like to make their facilities more person-centered, but lack the money to do so. The author, the senior director of the Green House Project, describes the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s effort to upgrade these cash-strapped nursing homes. The facilities must serve populations that are at least two-fifths Medicaid. The article cites several ways Green Houses better serve consumers, including the use of consistent assignment and self-managed work teams.
