Health Reform Advocates Release Toolkit for Direct-Care Workers

December 14, 2012

The Alliance for Health Reform has released four “toolkits” aimed at different segments of the health care workforce, including direct-care workers.

The fact sheet on direct-care workers presents information about the increasing demand for direct care as well as the many problems facing the workforce, such as high turnover rates.

It also explains how the Affordable Care Act proposes to resolve some of those workforce issues.

Contact information for dozens of long-term care experts is listed at the end of the fact sheet.

The fact sheet series was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Other fact sheets in the series present information on nurses, physicians, and health information technology workers.
