New Mexico Direct Caregivers Coalition Launches Registry

May 14, 2014

New Mexicans who need direct care can find caregivers — and vice versa — using a new online caregivers’ registry on the website of the New Mexico Direct Caregivers Coalition (NMDCC).

Both independent caregivers and caregiving agencies are encouraged to sign up for the registry. People seeking direct care can use the online tool to find the best caregiving option for them.

Registration is free. The registry was funded by the Con Alma Health Foundation and the McCune Charitable Foundation.

New Mexico is among the 28 states that have no publicly funded matching services registries, the PHI Matching Services Project shows.

The New Mexico registry is just one component of an overhauled NMDCC website, which has been updated to be easier to navigate.
