PACE provides a sense of belonging for elders

March 30, 2012

Generations Vol. 36 No. 1 – American Society on Aging

Examines the past, present, and future of the PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program, which has roots in San Francisco and has since spread out across the country. The authors note that, while PACE is an expensive program to launch, it should nevertheless be promoted as an optional state plan benefit in all states. They offer a “recipe for expansion” that will allow PACE to reach as many elders as possible nationwide.
