This report describes high turnover rates in nursing homes in Iowa. According to responses to a survey conducted in the state, most nursing homes have a turnover rate higher than 50%. One in ten nursing homes has a turnover rate higher than 100%. The report recommends additional research on turnover to identify effective strategies to retain staff.
