WEBINAR: Immigration Reform Could Benefit Home Care Workers and Consumers

May 9, 2013

A May 23 National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care webinar will explain how federal immigration reform can have a positive impact on home care workers and consumers.

The speakers will be:

  • Robyn Grant, Director of Public Policy and Advocacy, Consumer Voice
  • Marybeth Williams, Public Policy Associate, Consumer Voice
  • Robin Shaffert, Policy Director, Caring Across Generations (CAG)

Last month, the Consumer Voice published a brief explaining immigration reform’s potential to improve home care.

The brief argued that federal immigration reform should help the U.S. meet its skyrocketing demand for home care while improving job quality for home care workers.

Additionally, CAG recently released a compilation of stories from home care consumers who support immigration reform.

Registration for the webinar is available online.
