September 10, 2013

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) are conducting a series of webinars aimed at individuals who care for people with disabilities.

On the afternoon of September 10, the CMS Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office will present “Understanding the Lived Experience of Disability,” in which presenters will explain the unique barriers faced by people with disabilities.

A September 17 webinar, “The Care Management Relationship (Or ‘Person-Centered’ Care Management),” will explain the link between the care management relationship and CMS’s Disability Competent Care (DCC) assessment tool (pdf).
