Describes an immigration bill passed in the U.S. Senate in June 2013 that offers a “path to citizenship” for undocumented workers. The author notes that the U.S. will need millions of additional direct-care workers by 2030 in order to meet rising demand for eldercare. However, the immigration bill passed by the Senate does not have a specific “track” for direct-care workers.
